Writing process
Every tool begins with a human-supplied brief that includes verified source URLs, archive links, target keywords, and FAQ questions drawn from real search data. No tool is published without these inputs.
Content is written by a named author with formula verification, cited examples, and a quick-reference table. Drafts are excluded from search indexing until they pass editorial review.
Review process
After the author submits, an editor checks the formula against the cited source, verifies all archive URLs, and confirms that examples match real-world usage. Reviewed tools are then cleared for publication by a second reviewer.
Update policy
Tools are reviewed at least annually. The Last reviewed date on each tool page reflects the most recent full editorial pass. If we discover a formula error or a source has changed, we correct it within five business days and note the revision in the tool record.
Corrections
If you find an error, email editorial@unitplanet.com with the tool URL and the specific issue. We investigate every report and publish a correction notice if the issue is confirmed.
What we will not publish
UnitPlanet publishes math, not advice. We do not publish personalized health, financial, or legal recommendations. Tool outputs are reference values — not substitutes for professional judgment.
Money Math tools are limited to deterministic financial arithmetic. We will not publish: mortgage affordability calculators, refinancing decision tools, retirement calculators, jurisdiction-specific tax calculators, investment return predictors framed as forecasts, budget or debt-payoff planners, or any tool that takes income, credit score, or personal debt as input.
Fitness tools are limited to measurement reference and formula application. We will not publish: calorie deficit calculators, protein or macronutrient targets, water intake calculators, weight loss rate predictors, pregnancy or fertility calculators, newborn weight charts, pediatric growth calculators, or any tool that frames output as a personalized health recommendation. BMI is published as a reference calculation with an explicit limitations table — not as a health score or diagnostic output.
Pets tools are limited to reference calculations (age equivalences, unit conversions, aquarium sizing). We will not publish: pet calorie or feeding amount calculators, medication dosage calculators, ideal weight or goal weight calculators for pets, symptom checkers, vaccine schedule calculators, gestation or pregnancy calculators, heart rate or temperature reference tools, or any tool that outputs a recommendation tied to a specific pet's health, behavior, food, or medical care.
